Capturing the Essence of Connection Through Virtual Hug
HugPrint is an interactive mixed reality (MR) experience that explores the sensation, emotion, and significance of a hugโwhether shared with another person or a virtual companion. Rooted in real human interaction, the experience invites participants on a personal journey to reflect on the power of touch, memory, and emotional presence. Through spatial storytelling and immersive interaction, HugPrint invites you to leave your own โhug printโ and discover the narrative behind every embrace.
ABOUT
In Hugprint, I contributed as a designer, focusing on how emotional expression could be conveyed through spatial storytelling and playful interfaces.
designed the interactive elements using Unity, integrating particle systems, Shader Graph, and custom environmental elements to evoke a soft, emotionally resonant atmosphere. My role also involved shaping the visual tone of the experience โ ensuring the environment felt tactile, warm, and inviting โ while aligning it with the project’s core themes of care, distance, and connection.
Through this, I explored how subtle visual feedback and interactive cues can deepen user engagement and make abstract emotions feel tangible within a digital space.
